Many fans thought that it was Tatooine that featured in the first The Force Awakens trailer. It turns out it is a new place called Jakku.

What secrets does planet Jakku hold?

The film starts with Rey being a resourceful but solitary scavenger on Jakku. She eventually meets Finn.

We understand Jakku was deserted until a space battle caused the Star Destroyer first seen  in the teaser to crash.

Rumour has it that Max von Sydow's character was the Commander of the Star Destroyer and he and his crew were the first settlers on the planet. Take that with a grain of salt!
